The Smurf Experience

Opening Wednesday, May 7, 2025, this 13,000-square-foot, fully immersive attraction will transport families into the heart of Smurf Village. The experience will be held at the Arlington Museum of Art.

The 75-minute experience will feature nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, meet-and-greets with beloved Smurf characters and more. It's hands-on, high-energy and full of Smurftastic fun for kids and parents alike. The Smurf Experience is not to be missed and is only in Texas until the end of the Summer. M.C. Escher: Infinite Variations at the Arlington Museum of Art

The Arlington Museum of Art is bringing the mind-bending work of M.C. Escher to Arlington for its summer exhibition through Sunday, August 3, 2025. With over 150 works spanning the career of the graphic designer, M.C. Escher: Infinite Variations explores the metamorphic work of one of the most famous printmakers in modern times. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

You can catch The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a play by Simon Stephens, at Theatre Arlington. 15-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain: He is exceptional at mathematics but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched, and he distrusts strangers. Now it is 7 minutes after midnight, and Christopher stands beside his neighbor’s dead dog, Wellington, who has been speared with a garden fork. Finding himself under suspicion, Christopher is determined to solve the mystery, but his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a thrilling journey that upturns his world.  It airs Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Learn more about tickets. 2025 HAKCon

HAKcon returns 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Esports Stadium Arlington. This dynamic venue sets the stage for a day of exploration, innovation, and hands-on learning, as students dive into the exciting possibilities within STEAM fields and technical careers. HAKcon 2025 is about connecting students in grades 6-12 to engineering, envisioning their futures in STEAM fields, and igniting a passion for innovation through hands-on activities and inspiring experiences that highlight varied technical career paths. At HAKcon, students will have the chance to see themselves in engineering and discover how their interests can lead to exciting opportunities. Register for event.

Storytime at River Legacy Nature Center

Come celebrate stories and nature in a special storytime 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at River Legacy Nature Center! Registration Required. Storytime will be held outdoors at the Nature Center, weather permitting. The program will be moved indoors in the case of excessive heat or inclement weather.

Mother’s Day Tea (50+ yrs)

Whether you are a mom or have a mom, celebrate this Mother’s Day at ACTIV with a special Mother’s Day Tea on Friday, May 9, 2025, in the Post Oak Hall at noon. Levitt Pavilion Spring Concert Series

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Spring Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 with Emily Wolfe with Remy Reilly, and continuing in the weekend at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, with Eddie and The Getaway feat. Cole Barnhill. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. Yoga at the Lake Arlington Garden

Join for a free outdoor yoga class at the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025. Space is limited. Arlington Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District are working with local conservation stakeholders and community groups to restore native prairie and wildflowers to 2.75 acres of land adjacent to the Lake Arlington Dam. This gated area at 5500 Lake Arlington Drive also features demonstration garden beds with native plants.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

MOMumental Mother's Day Celebration at Arlington Highlands

Celebrate Mom in a MOMumental way with an afternoon of fun, treats, and togetherness at Arlington Highlands 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Arlington Highlands.

Local singer-songwriter Ruel Thomas, whose "folky, indie-adjacent sound" was inspired by the sounds of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and Paul McCartney, will perform.

There will be free make-and-take flower arrangements, a pampering station offering massages by tenant ZiZi Ped Spa, and food samples from tenant Chicken Salad Chick, while supplies last.

The event also will feature balloon artists and a selfie-station Photo Booth. Arlington Highland tenants, including Pottery Barn Outlet, Lululemon, and Kendra Scott among others, will be open as usual and perfect for moms wanting a spring wardrobe or home refresh. Color Me Mine pottery painting shop is a new tenant that will open in Arlington Highlands this summer. At MOMumental, they will be hosting a pop-up shop selling their pottery to take and paint at home.

Arlington Garden Club’s Plant Trade/Swap

The Arlington Garden Club's hosts a Plant Trade/Swap for the public 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Fielder Museum. Any and all kinds of plants, seeds, cuttings are welcome. Plus, the garden club will demonstrate a DIY build of a self-watering bucket/planter with inexpensive materials at 1:30 p.m.

Hand Embroidery for Beginners: Mother's Day Ages 9+

Jump into the hobby of hand embroidery! Learn the beauty of different embroidery stitches as you work on a special Mother's Day pattern 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the George W.
