Diana Rojas: Live at the UTA Planetarium

The UTA Planetarium’s 2025 Concert Series continues 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, with an evening of food, drinks, and live music featuring local artist Diana Rojas. Student admission will be $25. General admission will be $35. Faculty and staff admission will be $30. Appetizers are included with the price of admission. There will also be a cash bar available. The Smurf Experience

This 13,000-square-foot, fully immersive attraction will transport families into the heart of Smurf Village. The experience will be held at the Arlington Museum of Art. The 75-minute experience will feature nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, meet-and-greets with beloved Smurf characters and more. M.C. Escher: Infinite Variations at the Arlington Museum of Art

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

You can catch The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a play by Simon Stephens, at Theatre Arlington. 15-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain: He is exceptional at mathematics but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched, and he distrusts strangers. Now it is 7 minutes after midnight, and Christopher stands beside his neighbor’s dead dog, Wellington, who has been speared with a garden fork. Finding himself under suspicion, Christopher is determined to solve the mystery, but his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a thrilling journey that upturns his world.  It airs Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Learn more about tickets. Feral Cat Friday

Arlington Animal Services is having a special Trap-Neuter-Return event for feral cats in Arlington 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Arlington Animal Services Center. The first 20 cats to arrive between 8-9 a.m. are eligible for these free clinics. Only the first 20 Arlington feral cats will be accepted, and only one feral cat per trap. 2025 Speed Cubing Competition

Lake Arlington Garden Activity Day

Arlington Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District are working with local conservation stakeholders and community groups to restore native prairie and wildflowers to 2.75 acres of land adjacent to the Lake Arlington Dam 8-10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025. This gated area at 5500 Lake Arlington Drive also features demonstration garden beds with native plants.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Family Kayak Tour

Bring the family (ages 12 and up) for a fun family event, kayaking Lake Viridian 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, starting at the Viridian Sailing Center. Guides will teach you paddle instructions and safety, then you’ll follow our guide around the lake. This class is for ages 12 and up. Anyone under 18 needs to have an adult with them in tandem. Solo and tandem kayaks that sit on the water will be provided. NO REFUNDS for absences or cancellations (including weather).
