Guests can cool off this summer experiencing pulse-pounding water slides, relaxing lazy rivers and family friendly play areas at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Arlington, when it opens this Saturday, May 10 for the 2025 season. The largest waterpark in North Texas offers more than 40 attractions and slides for all ages to enjoy. With family cabanas and a wide variety of food options, a visit to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor makes for the perfect family outing.

This year, the park has invested in several improvements to enhance the guest experience including new dining options, refurbished bathrooms, additional family cabanas, new landscaping, colorful murals and a fresh look throughout the park.

May 10 begins the countdown for the opening of Splash Island, the new 58,000 square-foot family area featuring a multi-level water play structure with more than 110 interactive water features, seven kid-friendly water slides and a Texas-sized tipping bucket holding 1,000 gallons of water. As the largest investment in the park’s history, Splash Island is expected to open later this summer.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

  • Life jackets are required for guests under 48” and 52” at some attractions. Only US Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted.
  • Guests under 42” must be accompanied by a supervising companion at specific attractions.
