Explore Arlington Serves Up Fun on the ACTIV's Pickleball Court

On the next great adventure of Explore Arlington, Mayor Jim Ross takes a swing at pickleball at ACTIV.

ACTIV, located at 2061 W. Green Oaks. Blvd, is a state-of-the-art recreation center dedicated to enriching the lives of adults aged 50 and older. Offering an array of amenities including a full-court gymnasium, an indoor pool, a fitness area, a walking track, multi-purpose rooms, special events space, an outdoor patio, and a community garden. ACTIV is committed to providing a welcoming and vibrant environment for both residents and non-residents.

For members of the ACTIV, there are four indoor courts are available within the full-court gymnasium, ideal for play regardless of weather conditions. There are six outdoor courts, that are open to the general public, are situated alongside a walking trail and patio in Centennial Park.

“If I can get out here and do this, anybody can get out here and do this,” Ross said. “This is so much fun. It's all out here at the ACTIV. Y'all come on out and take advantage of this wonderful facility.”
