Start your engines! The Downtown Arlington Classic Car Show is back for its fourth annual celebration of vintage vehicles. The free, family-friendly event is expected to draw thousands of visitors and over 200 classic car owners to the heart of Downtown Arlington from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 7, 2025 at Vandergriff Town Center located at 200 N. Mesquite Street in Arlington.

“This event is truly about community,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of Downtown Arlington Management Corporation. “It’s about honoring craftsmanship and history, but it’s also about neighbors gathering in the streets, families making memories and visitors discovering the vibrant culture of Downtown Arlington. Every year, this show gets bigger and better, and we can’t wait to see what this year brings.”

Set against the backdrop of the landmark Vandergriff Building and hosted by the iconic Arlington Music Hall, the Classic Car Show has become a signature event for the district, drawing collectors from across Texas and the country. Taking place along the historic Bankhead Highway, the show captures the spirit of the old highway and its motorists.

“I look forward to this event every year, not just as Mayor but as a classic car lover,” said Mayor Jim Ross. “Getting to walk among these incredible vehicles and choose the winner of the Mayor’s Choice award is a real highlight for me. Seeing the community come together for the love of cars is just incredible every year.”

The car show is more than a display of beautiful vehicles; it’s a full-blown street festival. Attendees will enjoy a live DJ, food vendors, sponsor booths and family-friendly activities. A new Hot Wheel vendor will give away car souvenirs to all children. UTA Racing will have student-made race cars on display again this year. Featured food vendors this year include Prince Lebanese and Chick-Fil-A. The Downtown Library will be open with a giant chess board and Connect 4. Arlington Parks & Recreation will provide Imagination Playground Equipment for kids of all ages.

New this year, the weekly Downtown Arlington Farmers Market will be going on during the show in one of the parking lots. Visitors are also encouraged to check out local dining and shopping options throughout the day. The event creates a walkable experience that highlights the best of what downtown has to offer.

Car lovers of all ages are invited to take part in the excitement, with multiple awards being handed out at 2 p.m., including “Best in Show,” “Mayor’s Choice,” “Best Hometown Car,” and the crowd-favorite “People’s Choice Award,” where attendees get to vote for their favorite vehicle.

A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit the Arlington Police Foundation.
