Courage and sacrifice will be commemorated at the National Medal of Honor Museum over Memorial Day weekend. As a memorial tribute, the Museum’s lawn will be adorned with a sea of American flags, each representing heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. Visitors are invited to place flags in remembrance, creating a powerful display of unity and gratitude. This uplifting experience will offer a chance to reflect, remember, and pay tribute in a meaningful way.

“On the first Memorial Day since we opened our doors, we are thankful to be able to stand together as a community in remembrance of those who gave their lives for our country,” said Chris Cassidy, NMOHMF President and CEO. “I encourage everyone to come and place a flag on our lawn, honoring the bravery, selflessness and patriotism of Medal of Honor Recipients and all who have sacrificed so much for our country.”

To make the weekend even more special, the Museum will offer a menu filled with classic cookout favorites – smoked brisket sandwiches, juicy special recipe hamburgers, sizzling American wagyu sausage hot dogs, refreshing coleslaw, potato salad, and more. This weekend is a perfect opportunity to gather with friends and family, enjoying great food while celebrating the spirit of remembrance.
