Rangers open season hosting Boston Red Sox
Your hometown Rangers host the Boston Red Sox for a four-game weekend set at Globe Life Field to open the 2025 MLB Season. First pitches are scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 7:05 p.m. Friday, March 28, 6:05 p.m. Saturday, March 29, and 1:35 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2025. Wicked Threads: The Artistry of Costume in Oz AND Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art
Following the release of the highly anticipated film, the Arlington Museum of Art will debut a collection of costumes from Wicked (2024) celebrating the artistry of the costume design and twenty-one years of the beloved Broadway musical Wicked. The Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition will feature a collection of larger-than-life images taken by Diana’s trusted friend and Official Royal Photographer, the late Anwar Hussein, as well as his sons Samir and Zak. Each image will be accompanied by first-hand accounts of the stories behind the world-famous moments, told through an in-depth audio guide.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library
Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning. This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Barnstormer Saturday
The first Barnstormer Saturday of the season takes place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Arlington Municipal Airport. This family-friendly event features the Bell V-280 Valor on display. It is free admission and free parking to this event where you can ride an historic aircraft.
Downtown Arlington Farmers Market
Get ready for a vibrant new addition to Downtown Arlington! The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market launches on Saturday, March 29, 2025, and will run every Saturday through November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Serger for Beginners: Reusable Snack Bag
Join as you learn how to thread the serger and then take home a freshly serged project 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. The serger is a machine that cuts and binds fabric and can be used for a variety of craft projects. Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 5 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 13+.
Teens Give Back
Teens, join the Arlington Public Library at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch for a chance to give back to the community! The event takes place 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025. Use this time to help complete fun projects for the library and to help out our patrons. Past projects have included making cards and craft items for our Books on Wheels seniors, crafting bookmarks for scavenger hunt prizes, or helping library staff to prepare for their programs. All supplies will be provided. This is for teens in grades 7th - 12th who are in need of volunteer hours. Creature Features: Shakesbeard, the Bearded Dragon
Join River Legacy Nature Center 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, for this month’s Creature Features, as you are introduced to Shakesbeard, a bearded dragon. Learn about its adaptations, behavior, lifestyle, natural history, etc. RSVP is required. Limited spaces available. Participants will receive an e-mail or phone call from the naturalist facilitating the event prior to event to confirm attendance.
