Spring Break at Six Flags Over Texas
There's nothing quite like celebrating Spring Break at Six Flags Over Texas! Hang out with your friends or family and hop on to one of your favorite thrill rides! Spring Break at Six Flags Over Texas runs from March 13 through 23. Check out their website for ticket information.
Wicked Threads: The Artistry of Costume in Oz AND Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art
Following the release of the highly anticipated film, the Arlington Museum of Art will debut a collection of costumes from Wicked (2024) celebrating the artistry of the costume design and twenty-one years of the beloved Broadway musical Wicked. The Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition will feature a collection of larger-than-life images taken by Diana’s trusted friend and Official Royal Photographer, the late Anwar Hussein, as well as his sons Samir and Zak. Each image will be accompanied by first-hand accounts of the stories behind the world-famous moments, told through an in-depth audio guide.

Soldering Basics: Build a Flashlight
Join C.R.E.A.T. at the Central Library to learn and practice the basics of soldering 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, in the FabLab. Participants will build their very own LED flashlight that they can keep after the workshop. This event is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff. This event will be hosted by Creative Spaces and Services at the UTA Libraries.
Little Explorers – Downtown Library
Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning. This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library
Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Spring Break Activities: Creepy Crawlies
There are two activities, one at 11 a.m. and one at 1:30 p.m. at River Legacy Nature Center. Please choose one time to attend. Get an up-close look at some of the most fascinating animal friends – Walking Sticks, Hissing Cockroaches, tarantulas and more! What can be found in your own backyard? Learn about their “superpowers” and how important they are not only to humans, but the whole Earth! It is $5 per participant and children 2 and under are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will go on sale the day of each event at 10 a.m. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis and must be purchased at the Nature Center. All sales are final, no refunds.
2025 UTA Jazz Festival
The UTA Jazz Festival takes place on March 21-22 in the Rosebud Theatre and the Bluebonnet Ballroom of the University Center. Middle school and high school bands perform and compete in the Rosebud Theatre. These performances are open to the public.
Friday, March 21
12 p.m.: - Clinic – “Music interaction and Musicianship" by UTA Avant-garde combo
4 p.m.: Concert/Award Ceremony hosted by the UTA Jazz Ensemble in the Rosebud Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public.
Saturday, March 22
12 p.m.: Clinic – "Q&A session with The Maynard All-Stars ©"
7 p.m.: Concert/Award Ceremony hosted by the UTA Jazz Orchestra with guest artists of The Maynard All-Stars © (Wayne Bergeron, Steve Wiest, Frank Green, Denis DeBlasio, Brian Mulholland, and Stockton Helbing) in the Bluebonnet Ballroom.

Ceramic Trinket Tray w/ 3D Printed Drape Mold
Create handmade ceramic trinket trays using the slab method. Explore the art of creating stunning ceramic trinket trays as you are guided through the process 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, in the FabLab. Learn the foundations of ceramics, clay tools and techniques. Decorate your clay slab with laser engraved stamps and give it shape using 3D printed drape molds to create a wonderfully unique ceramic trinket tray. Swifties Hang Out
Calling all Swifties! Come join the Arlington Public Library‘s Tortured Readers Department as staff take a tour through the eras with a variety of fun Taylor-inspired crafts and music that will leave you fearlessly enchanted. It takes place 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Southwest Branch Library Community Room. Sing your heart out in karaoke with other fans. And what a better way to celebrate the mastermind of words herself than by finding books inspired by each of her albums. It's the library (Taylor's Version)!
Want to take part in our drawing for a Taylor Swift swag bag? Join the challenge to "collect" her albums! Each library will have their own flyer based on one of Taylor Swift's albums. Take a photo of yourself with the flyer and bring it with you to the program. The more albums you collect, the more entries you earn. Must be present at Swifties Hang Out to be eligible to win.

3D Printing Ages 9-12
Explore the world of 3D design tools, turning your digital dreams into physical creations. Join this event this spring break for a fun activity and take home your printed item. It takes place 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 8 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 9-12. They ask that adults attend the class.

Dungeons & Dragons Day
There is a dragon in the library! Whether you come to slay a dragon or befriend them, the Arlington Public Library would like you to join them as they go on a fantastical journey filled with magic and adventure during our Day of Dungeons & Dragons! They host D&D themed activities for fanatics of all ages 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s [re]Brary Room A & B. Come and experience D&D with our D&D Free Play sessions, special oneshot campaigns written by members of our very own community*, character building activities, and mini figure painting. While they will have activities for all ages, D&D Free Play will only be available to those aged 9 and older. This event is free and open to the public. Dungeons & Dragons: Minifigure Painting
Join the Arlington Public Library staff for a fun and creative experience at D&D Day 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, as they host a special Minifigure Painting Program in the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room! Whether you're an experienced Dungeons & Dragons player or new to the game, this event is the perfect opportunity to add a personal touch to your tabletop adventure. In this hands-on program, participants will receive a set of blank D&D miniatures and learn how to paint them from scratch. They will provide all the necessary materials, including paints, brushes, and miniatures, so you can focus on unleashing your creativity. Please note, supplies are limited! Participants welcome to bring their own miniature.
Silent Book Club
The book club with no assigned reading and no pressure! They meet once a month at local spots around Arlington & Grand Prairie to read, drink, and be in community with other bookworms. Bring any book you choose, enjoy some refreshments, and stay for optional socializing just before and after the reading time. National Medal of Honor Museum Mission to Inspire Spectacular
Be part of history and join for a patriotic evening under the stars at the Grand Opening of the National Medal of Honor Museum Mission to Inspire Spectacular. This free public event will bring together Medal of Honor recipients, military families, and proud Americans from across the country to commemorate this milestone. This 360-degree storytelling marvel in the sky features fireworks, drones, video, and a variety of musical arrangements including live performance by the U.S. Navy Commodores Band and many more. Together, we’ll celebrate the valor, courage, and sacrifice of Medal of Honor Recipients and the 40 million Americans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Sunday Brunch
Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Black on the Block is headed back to Arlington to officially kick off our 2025 tour! Audience votes decide who takes the stage at the T3R Awards. Acoustic song swap that allows the audience to discover the artists and their talents in a more intimate environment. The Future Faces show will be followed by a performance by Love & Chaos. The audience at PBR will vote for the best performance of the night and the winner will perform at the T3R awards on 3/23 inside Texas Live in Arlington, TX.
