Oncor will host two public meetings this week related to the proposed construction of a new double-circuit 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line within the cities of Arlington and Grand Prairie.
The proposed transmission line will begin at Oncor’s proposed Division Substation, to be located southwest of Division Street and Stadium Drive in Arlington. From that location, the proposed transmission line will extend east to an intermediate point along the existing Executive Parkway Switch–Sherry Switch transmission line located between the proposed Division Substation and State Highway (SH) 360. The proposed transmission line will then follow this existing transmission line corridor to the north of Division Street, before continuing eastward to a potential endpoint along the existing Liggett Switch–Cedar Hill Switch 138 kV transmission line, located east of State Highway 360. The exact locations of the intermediate point along the Executive Parkway Switch–Sherry Switch transmission line and of the eastern endpoint along the Liggett Switch–Cedar Hill Switch transmission line will be subject to selection and approval by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). Visit the Oncor Transmission Line Project webpage.
