Mitchell Street Rebuild Information Meeting Set for June 4, 2025

The Public Works Department is pleased to announce that the Mitchell Street rebuild project is scheduled to begin construction in June 2025. This project will consist of rebuilding Mitchell Street from South Collins Street to Sunnyvale Drive. This project will be funded by Street Bond funds.

This project is estimated to be completed by April 2026, includes the following improvements:
• Rebuilding Mitchell Street from Asphalt roadway to Concrete roadway.
• Water and Sanitary Sewer Main renewals.
• Storm Drainage Improvements.
• New traffic signs, pavement markings and streetlights.
• New Sidewalks and ADA Compliant ramps.
The Public Works Department will be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, to provide information on the Mitchell Street Rebuild construction project.
This meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, located at 100 S. Center St., Arlington, Texas, 76010. There will be a short presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
The purpose of this informational meeting is to provide information and answer your questions concerning construction. Please stop by to see a short presentation detailing the scope of the project and to ask any questions you may have about this project.
This project was approved by Arlington voters in the 2018 Bond Election and aligns with the City Council’s priorities to Enhance Regional Mobility and Champion Great Neighborhoods.
