The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred this morning in the 2400 block of North Collins Street.

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at approximately 6:37 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a 2011 Mazda 3 and a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The preliminary investigation indicates that the Mazda was traveling northbound when it crossed over into the southbound lanes and was struck by the Suburban.

A passenger in the Mazda, a 23-year-old Grand Prairie man, was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Mazda and the passenger in the Suburban were also transported to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the Suburban was not transported.

As a result of the crash, both northbound and southbound lanes of N. Collins Street were closed for approximately three hours while investigators processed the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
