Arlington’s Office of Communication was honored with seven statewide awards at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers Conference on June 5, 2025, in Fort Worth.

The TAMI Awards recognize outstanding communication by Texas communities in a variety of categories including website, social media, video production and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government. This year’s awards program received nearly 700 entries from municipalities across the state of Texas.

Arlington received accolades for the following communications projects:

Also at the conference, Director of Communication and Legislative Affairs Jay Warren was honored with the Cheryl A. Soward Communicator of Distinction Award. Designed to honor the best and the brightest in the field of government communications, the Cheryl A. Soward Communicator of Distinction Award recipient is selected by the TAMIO Board. The Board chooses an individual who is a government communication professional, public information officer, and/or administrator who has excelled in the communication field.
