Arlington Offers $5 Pet Adoption Special July 14-19, 2025

Every kennel is full at Arlington Animal Services, which is offering a $5 adoption special on all cats and dogs through Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Overflowing with adoptable pets, the shelter is operating above capacity, Arlington Animal Services Manager Ashley Woolnough said. This overcrowding puts immense strain on shelter resources, staff, and most importantly, the well-being of the animals in its care.

"Please visit our shelter today or contact us to learn more about how you can help. Every adoption, rescue, or foster placement directly contributes to saving a life," Woolnough said. "Without immediate action from our community, the situation will become even more dire."

Please consider opening your heart and home to a deserving animal through:

Adoption: Give a loving animal a forever home. By adopting, you not only gain a loyal companion but also create vital space for another animal in need.
Rescue: If you are a rescue organization, we implore you to partner with us to transfer animals and alleviate our critical capacity issues.
Fostering: Even a temporary foster home can make a monumental difference. Fostering provides a safe, comfortable environment for an animal outside the stressful shelter setting and allows us to care for more animals. We provide all necessary supplies.

Cat adoption fees are typically $90 and dog adoption fees are $100. All adoption fees, even for the $5 pet adoption special, include pet vaccinations, spaying or neutering, a microchip, a city license for Arlington residents, and heartworm testing for dogs or FIV/FELV testing for cats.
