10 Events to Celebrate Independence Day in The American Dream City

Arlingtonites know how to celebrate Independence Day - so much so, we celebrate all week long. We've got fireworks displays, community events, and the largest Independence Day Parade in Texas! Check out this event list from our friends at the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau and find a spot to celebrate the 4th of July in The American Dream City!
Time: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Date: Saturday, June 28
Place: The Lawn at Arlington Highlands, Interstate 20 at Matlock Road and Center Street
Details: Kick off the celebrations a little early with bubble stations, glitter tattoos, sweet treats, and songs of the summer! Arlington Highlands shops will also be featured during the event - Starbucks, Color Me Mine, Black Eyed Pea, Massage Envy, KidsPark, European Wax Center, Peach Cobbler Factory, and Dave & Buster’s.
Time: 6 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Date: Thursday, July 3
Place: Levitt Pavilion Arlington, 100 W. Abram St., and George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St.
Details: It’s not Independence Day without a fireworks show! The City of Arlington's annual celebration in Downtown features live music, food trucks, vendors and is completely free and open to the public. Catch live music acts Chef Dee and Brad Thompson at the Levitt Pavilion and Young Stars and Guitars and Jimmy Pitstick at the DREAM Park Stage.

Place: AT&T Stadium, 1 AT&T Way, North Main Club
Details: Support a good cause and hang out with America’s Team this 4th of July! Carter BloodCare is teaming up with the Dallas Cowboys to host their second annual blood drive. Make sure you get there early because the first 1,000 donors will receive a standing-room ticket for the Cowboys preseason game against the Ravens! You can also expect guest appearances from Cowboys Players and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders as well as fun giveaways all day long. Be sure to register.

Place: College Park Center at The University of Texas at Arlington, 600 S. Center St.
Details: Nothing’s more patriotic than cheering on Paige Bueckers and the Wings! They’re taking on the Phoenix Mercury this July 3rd and its Throwback Thursday theme night so get ready for all the nostalgia vibes.
Time: 9 a.m.

Place: Downtown Arlington
Details: The largest Independence Day Parade in the state of Texas will be taking over the streets of Arlington with colorful floats, antique cars, marching bands and more winding through Downtown. Celebrate with the 2025 Grand Marshall, Chris Cassidy, President and CEO of the National Medal of Honor Museum.
Time: 7 a.m.
Date: Friday July 4
Place: Downtown Arlington
Details: Before the Annual Arlington Independence Day Parade, lace up your sneakers and get ready to run around Downtown. The 5k race will start and end at the Levitt Pavilion and medals will be awarded for top three in 8 age-divisions, plus overall male and female, and masters male and female. Registration is currently closed, but you can cheer on this year's participants along the course!
Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Last entry at 4 p.m.)

Place: National Medal of Honor Museum, 1861 AT&T Way
Details: This Fourth of July, celebrate freedom, courage, and community at the National Medal of Honor Museum at the inaugural FreedomFest: A Fourth of July Celebration. Enjoy a day filled with red, white, and blue patriotic festivities, live music, immersive exhibits, family-friendly activities, and delicious summertime favorites served up from the grill.
This event is included with general admission to the Museum. Food is not included and will be available for purchase. Select experiences may require additional fees.

Place: PBR Texas at Texas Live!, 1650 E. Randol Mill Road
Details: Let freedom ring! Texas Live! knows how to throw a party, and they’re inviting us to celebrate all military personnel, first responders, and public service members. If you fall into one of those categories – congrats, you get the best seat in the house! Make sure you show your badge or military ID at the door for a complimentary VIP table and drink specials all night.

Place: Six Flags Over Texas, 2201 Road to Six Flags Drive
Details: Spend all day checking out the rides and entertainment at Six Flags Over Texas and end your night with their Star-Spangled Nights fireworks show (set to patriotic music, of course!).
Time: Starts at 5 p.m.
Date: Saturday, July 5
Place: Live! by Loews-Arlington Hotel
Details: Starting at 5 p.m. check out DJ Erick on Clover Club Lawn and get the party started with live entertainment and all-American classics like BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs and more. Then sway the night away to your favorite 90's country hits at the Straight Tequila Night Concert starting at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. Watch a 15-minute firework display choreographed to music with the iconic AT&T Stadium as the backdrop.
