Summer is winding down soon, but the fun isn’t over just yet! Mark your calendar for these upcoming August events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.
Dive In Movie – Friday, August 1
Join us for a summer send off at East Indoor Pool and enjoy a dive-in movie featuring Finding Nemo! We will swim and have popcorn to enjoy outside the pool from 6-8 PM. All guests entering the pool will need to purchase admission. Pre-registration is required. Children 2 and under are free.

Disco Pool Party – Wednesday, August 6
Feelin' groovy? Come say Peace Out to the old and Boogie into the new with a Disco Pool Party! We will celebrate 53 years of the Woodland West Swimming Pool with swimming, music, snow cones and more, starting at 6 PM. Admission is $3 per person.

Splash Tales at Don Misenhimer Park – Friday, August 8
Dive into a world of imagination and adventure at Splash Tales! The final Splash Tales event of the summer will be held at the Don Misenhimer splash pad from 10-11 AM. Kids can come enjoy interactive stories, water-themed crafts, and splashing good fun at this free summer event!

Friday Night Splash Party – Friday, August 8
Join us under the stars at The Beacon’s splash pad from 6-9 PM for an evening filled with music, laughter, and delicious eats! Bring your friends and family for a night of splash pad fun with a featured food truck offering delectable treats. Admission is free and open to all ages!

Burgers & Boots: A Line Dancing Bash (50+ yrs) – Thursday, August 21
ACTIV is celebrating summer with food and fun at Burgers & Boots! We will kick things off with line dancing and wrap it up with a delicious burger in the Post Oak Hall from 4:00-6:30 PM. Don’t forget to wear your favorite cowboy attire for an extra dose of fun! Attendance is $5 per person.
