Fans of HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones are invited to journey into the world of Westeros like never before. The Arlington Museum of Art, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences (WBDGE), has announced the upcoming, Game of Thrones™: The Exhibition, will open on Oct. 4, 2025 for a limited run, showcasing an immersive collection of original costumes worn by the iconic characters, props from the show, and a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the groundbreaking series. 

Curated in collaboration with WBDGE and the Game of Thrones production archives team and designed to celebrate the artistry behind the realm, the exhibit features more than 60 meticulously crafted costumes from all eight seasons. From Daenerys Targaryen’s regal dragon-scale gowns to Jon Snow’s battle-worn Night’s Watch gear, the collection highlights the vision and detail of the show’s award-winning costume designer and the hundreds of talented production designers, set builders, and other specialty artisans. Game of Thrones™: The Exhibition transports visitors into the heart of the realm, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the artistry, craftsmanship, and storytelling that brought the epic series to life.

Visitors will also enjoy behind-the-scenes insights, images, and design sketches that reveal the meticulous craftsmanship and historical influences behind the iconic looks. Whether you’re a Stark, a Lannister, or a Targaryen, this is your chance to relive the adventure of Westeros and experience the legacy of Game of Thrones up close. 

The exhibit offers fans a rare opportunity to experience the legacy of the series up close.

“This exhibition is more than a tribute to the world of Game of Thrones, it’s a celebration of the fandom that kept the story alive,” saif Director of Exhibitions Kendall Quirk. “There are so many talented artists who brought the series to life through sets, graphic design, and costumes and we’re so thrilled to celebrate their work.”

Tickets will be available Aug. 1, 2025, on the Arlington Museum of Art website. Advance ticket reservations are strongly recommended. The exhibit is suitable for all ages, with content curated to appeal to both devoted fans and newcomers alike.
