As a reminder, customers can report electricity outages directly to Oncor and receive updates about their service by registering for MyOncor text alerts by texting “REG” to 66267, downloading the MyOncor App, following Oncor on Facebook, or by calling 888.313.4747.

How Do I Sign Up for My Oncor Alerts?

To sign up, follow these steps at the My Oncor Alert sign-up site:

• Locate your account using your phone number, retail electric provider and ZIP code or use your ESI ID, meter number and ZIP code.
• Select your contact preference: text, email, voice alert or all three.
• Enter your mobile phone number and/or email address.
• Provide a contact name or nickname - this helps if you register multiple accounts.
• Acknowledge that standard rates for message and data may apply by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
• Confirm registration. Test and email setup will receive a confirmation text or email.

Helpful individual and family resources are also available on the Texas Division of Emergency Management's website, including the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR), a free registry that provides local emergency management planners and responders with information related to your needs during an emergency.

While prioritized during power restoration events, critical care designations do not guarantee an uninterrupted power supply, especially during severe weather. Customers who rely on electricity for life-saving medical devices should have a plan in case of power outages.
