2025 MLK Jr. Holiday Closures & Service Schedules in Arlington

City of Arlington municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan.20, 2025, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Garbage and residential recycling pickups will occur in Arlington on Monday as regularly scheduled. The Arlington Landfill will be open.

Regular office hours and service schedules for some facilities will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.

• Arlington Animal Services Center
• Meadowbrook Center
• Bob Duncan Center
• Kathryn Wilemon Lake House Event Center
• AISD Natatorium
• Parks and Recreation Department administrative offices

Holiday Garbage and Recycling Schedule: Garbage and recycling will not be picked up New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
