Arlington Water Utilities will host a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch Library Community Room to answer questions about upcoming utility construction on South Bowen Road.
Construction will begin in January 2026 to replace 1,070-feet of the existing 16-inch concrete water transmission main at six locations along South Bowen Road, from just north of West Mayfield Road to SW Green Oaks Boulevard.
Water Department engineers and representatives from Gra-Tex Utilities, the contractor doing the construction, will be available to answer questions at the Jan. 8 meeting. The Lake Arlington Branch Library is located at 4000 W. Green Oaks Blvd.
The upcoming construction will replace aging infrastructure with a history of water main breaks, reduce maintenance costs, and improve service to surrounding neighborhoods. The project is expected to take about six months to complete.
