Overnight Homeless Cold Weather Shelter Open Sunday and Monday

The City of Arlington has activated its overnight Homeless Emergency Weather Shelter Plan for Sunday, Dec. 7 and Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.

In freezing temperatures, the First United Methodist Church of Arlington serves as a temporary inclement weather shelter for homeless individuals in Arlington. The City of Arlington’s Homeless Emergency Cold Weather Shelter plan is activated on dates when temperatures reach 39 degrees or below for four or more consecutive hours overnight.

Inclement Weather Shelter Protocols

First United Methodist Church of Arlington

• Check in address: 407 Mesquite Street, Arlington TX 76011
• Intake shall begin at 7 p.m. and go through 10 p.m.
• Exceptions will be made for drop offs by the Arlington Police Department after hours.
• Meals will be served
• For questions, call 817-274-2571 and press option 2 for the on-call pastor.
