The City of Arlington has activated its overnight Homeless Emergency Weather Shelter Plan from 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 to 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025.
In freezing temperatures, the City's longtime community partner, The Salvation Army, serves as a temporary inclement weather shelter for homeless individuals in Arlington. The City of Arlington’s Homeless Emergency Cold Weather Shelter plan, which is supported by a federal emergency shelter grant, is activated on dates when temperatures reach 39 degrees or below for four or more consecutive hours overnight.
