Work is progressing at the Northeast Branch Library, where important facility upgrades are underway to improve accessibility, comfort and durability for library visitors and staff.
The Northeast Branch, located at 1905 Brown Blvd., is undergoing improvements that includes repairs to the accessibility ramp, roof replacement, window replacement and a new front entrance door, all designed to extend the life of the building and enhance the patron experience. To accommodate construction activities, there will be a temporary partial closure of the parking lot on the west side of the property. In addition, handicap parking and ramp access have been adjusted to the east side of the building to ensure continued accessibility while work is underway.
Despite these changes, the library remains open and is accessible to the public. This project, approved by Arlington voters in the 2023 Bond Election, is expected to be complete by February 2026.
Library visitors are encouraged to plan for minor changes in parking and entrances, and to continue enjoying the services and programs offered throughout the renovation period.
