First Thursdays

Grab the family and text the group chat, it’s THE day to be in Downtown Arlington! Enjoy once a month evening of live music, artistic experiences, and exploration at your favorite businesses! 

Letters to Santa

Join us for a truly magical event as Letters to Santa returns to Downtown Arlington! On Thursday, Dec. 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., children are invited to the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library to write a letter to Santa and hand-deliver it directly to the man in red. A stamp is required to mail your letter, but elves will have a limited quantity on hand for those in need! RSVP here.

Holiday Jazz in the Plaza

Celebrate the sounds of the season this First Thursdays with a live performance by the UTA Jazz Quartet!

Join us on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at City Center Plaza for an evening of Holiday hits and classic jazz tunes. We’ll be handing out complimentary hot cocoa to keep you warm!

Bring a chair and a cozy blanket, grab a cup of cocoa, and settle in for a relaxing and festive concert right in the heart of Downtown Arlington.

Elves in the Window

Get into the holiday spirit with the annual Elves in the Window event, hosted by Dance Theater Arlington at Miss Persis Studio of Dance!

On Thursday, Dec. 4, starting at 6:30 p.m., step outside during First Thursdays to witness a magical performance. Watch as talented dancers perform festive holiday routines right inside the studio windows, creating a charming and unique spectacle for the whole community to enjoy from the sidewalk! Pro-tip: bring a chair, blanket and warm beverage to support your local arts community. 

Live Raku Pottery Demos at Division Brewing

Our featured attraction brings artist Landon Palmer to Division Brewing for a captivating live Raku Fire pottery demonstration. Witness the drama as he uses fire to transform freshly thrown pieces into striking, finished ceramics. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see this intense and beautiful artistic process in action!

Texas Christkindl Market

Get ready to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of the holiday season as the 15th Annual Texas Christkindl Market returns to Arlington. This beloved tradition will take place Nov. 21–23 and Nov. 28–Dec. 23, 2025, open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the North Plaza of Globe Life Field.

Tinsel & Spurs: A Texas Holiday Experience

Tinsel & Spurs is a down-home Texas-style holiday celebration bringing western flair to the magic of the season. Families are invited to enjoy an evening under the lights on The Lawn at Arlington Highlands from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. There will be Santa photos, snow, crafts, a hot cocoa bar, face painting, and a fun holiday movie shown on a large screen. The event will combine traditional Christmas cheer with a little Lone Star spirit, creating a festive experience that’s both heartwarming and uniquely Arlington.

Olde Town Christmas Market

Join us for an unforgettable holiday shopping experience at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center! Delight in photos with Santa, tasty treats, vendors, crafts, and plenty of fun on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Gather your friends and family of all ages for this favorite holiday tradition!
