The University of Texas at Arlington's Maverick Stadium will proudly host Arlington ISD high school football games on Friday nights and select Thursday nights throughout the 2025 season, beginning Friday, Aug. 29, and continuing through Nov. 6.
With these games, UTA continues its commitment to supporting local schools and the Arlington community, welcoming fans from across North Texas to experience the excitement of high school football on a collegiate stage.
"We are thrilled to open Maverick Stadium to Arlington ISD this fall," UTA Athletic Director Jon Fagg said. "High school football is a cornerstone of Texas culture, and we want to give players, families, and fans an unforgettable experience while showcasing our beautiful campus."
This season, Maverick Stadium features a number of enhancements designed to elevate the fan experience. The stadium now boasts a state-of-the-art video board, upgraded scoreboard and play clocks, and a fully enhanced sound system, ensuring every touchdown, play, and announcement comes to life for spectators.
UTA also encourages visitors to plan ahead, as increased traffic and new traffic patterns may be in effect around the stadium on game nights. Fans are advised to follow posted signage and allow extra travel time.
Looking ahead, UTA is excited to launch its brand-new women's flag football programin the spring of 2027. Hosting high school football at Maverick Stadium is one step toward building momentum and fostering a love for football among the next generation of student-athletes.
"We hope that bringing local high school football to UTA inspires young athletes and strengthens our connection with the Arlington community," Fagg added.
