Get Weather Ready, Watch 'Twisters' at Preparedness in the Park Event

Join Arlington emergency officials for an educational fair and free screening of the movie Twisters in recognition of National Preparedness Month in September. Mark your calendars! This family-friendly event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at Levitt Pavilion Arlington, 100 W. Abram St. in Downtown.
Participants can learn how to be Weather Ready by exploring educational booths with tips on:
Giveaway! Get a NOAA weather radio (one per household) when you visit preparedness booths, while supplies last.
Activities: Before the movie, free children's activities will include lawn games and the Arlington Police Department's GameUp 5-0 video game trailer.
Movie Screening: The movie Twisters (PG-13) plays at 7:30 p.m. on the screen at Levitt Pavilion Arlington. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks and enjoy the film. No glass bottles please.

Parking: Free parking is available throughout Downtown, including the 101 Center Parking Garage, public parking along Front Street and public parking on the west side of City Hall.
