The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred late Tuesday night in the 2700 block of East Park Row Drive.

At approximately 11:19 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2025, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a major accident. When they arrived, Arlington Fire Department personnel were already on scene working to extricate individuals from both vehicles involved.

According to witnesses, the driver of the Dodge Ram pickup, a 70-year-old male, was unconscious and pinned inside the truck. At 11:26 p.m., Arlington Fire Department personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The preliminary investigation indicates the Dodge Ram was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Park Row Drive and struck a GMC Acadia head-on. The driver and passenger of the Acadia were transported to a nearby local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Crash investigators responded to the scene and are working to determine the factors that led to the collision. At this time, intoxication is suspected but not yet confirmed. Investigators also believe the driver of the Dodge Ram was not wearing a seatbelt, which may have contributed to the severity of his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death and will release the name of the deceased once the next of kin have been notified.
