Wicked Threads: The Artistry of Costume in Oz AND Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art
Following the release of the highly anticipated film, the Arlington Museum of Art will debut a collection of costumes from Wicked (2024) celebrating the artistry of the costume design and twenty-one years of the beloved Broadway musical Wicked. The Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition will feature a collection of larger-than-life images taken by Diana’s trusted friend and Official Royal Photographer, the late Anwar Hussein, as well as his sons Samir and Zak. Each image will be accompanied by first-hand accounts of the stories behind the world-famous moments, told through an in-depth audio guide.

HCS Major Arlington - Hosted by OpTic Gaming
The wait is over! Year 4 of Halo Infinite esports is kicking off in Texas with the HCS Major Arlington 2025 hosted by OpTic Gaming April 18-20, 2025. A flurry of roster changes from the off-season, and an updated in-game meta, there is so much to look forward to this season. Don't miss your chance to see competitive Halo at its best as the top teams from around the world compete in this $250,000 three-day tournament!
Those in attendance will also get a chance to participate in the $5,000 Free-for-all tournament along with a series of side tournaments in varying formats from Halo Infinite and legacy Halo titles!
New this year is the 1v1 Showdown! Compete in this 2-day event putting your skills to the test to take home the top award in the $5,000 prize pool! This event is free to event for those that have purchased a team pass or general admission ticket. Learn more about ticket prices.
Family Orienteering
Bring out the whole family and learn the sport of Orienteering at a slower, gentler family pace. Parents and kids will work together to locate hidden orienteering markers throughout River Legacy Nature Center Park 1-2 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2025. See who can locate the most within a set time limit. Speed or smart planning, which will get you the most points. No experience required and no compass needed. Simple trail map reading skills, and a sense of adventure are all the tools you need! All participants must register. Each child/family must have at least one adult attending and registered for the program. Children must be supervised by the adult they came with. NO REFUNDS for absences or cancellations (including weather). Your payment will be considered a donation to environmental education.
Texas Rangers host Tampa Bay Rays
Your hometown Rangers host the Los Angeles Dodgers for a three-game weekend set at Globe Life Field. First pitches are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Friday, April 18, 3:05 p.m. Saturday, April 19, and 1:35 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2025. View ticket information on the Rangers’ website.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market
The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Spice Club
At Spice Club, you will learn about a different spice every month. Attend to discover a spice and receive a take-and-make kit featuring a variety of unique spices, herbs, or blends. Check out new cookbooks and recipes or bring a favorite recipe of yours to share! This month you will learn about CREOLE COOKING at Spice Club, 12-1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Southeast Branch Library’s Community Room.
Each kit will include:
- Information about the featured spice, its history with a few facts;
- two simple recipe suggestions;
- Small packet of the featured spice to try.
No registration required.
Teens Give Back
Teens, join the Arlington Public Library at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch for a chance to give back to the community! The event takes place 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025. Use this time to help complete fun projects for the library and to help out our patrons. Past projects have included making cards and craft items for our Books on Wheels seniors, crafting bookmarks for scavenger hunt prizes, or helping library staff to prepare for their programs. All supplies will be provided. This is for teens in grades 7th - 12th who are in need of volunteer hours. Sunday Brunch
Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and their favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon French toast and served with maple syrup!
