The rich aromas of cardamom and mint filled the Community Room at the East Library and Recreation Center Wednesday, April 23, 2025, for Tea Time.

“This is an opportunity to give people a chance to explore the world one drink at a time,” said Mark Dellenbaugh, who oversees Library Community Programming for the Arlington Public Library.

April’s Tea Time event, part of a monthly series celebrating local and global traditions, honored Arab American Heritage Month with a flavorful journey into teas of the Arab world.

“Tea is really a symbol of hospitality and generosity in the Arab world,” Dellenbaugh said. “Tea plays a very significant role in treating the guests as a treasure.”

Tea Time is held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Arlington Public Library and is free to attend. With each session spotlighting a new culture, region, or tradition, it's a warm and welcoming way to travel the world close to home.
