Is your home’s landscape in need of improvement? With spring in full swing, Arlington Water Utilities is partnering with Tarrant Regional Water District to offer a “Homeowner’s Guide to Landscaping” workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at the Arlington Expo Center, 1200 Ballpark Way. The free event will provide residents with foundational knowledge on how to create a beautiful, sustainable landscape for their homes.

Participants will learn how to design landscapes that are tailored to North Texas’ unique climate and soil condition. The workshop will cover low-maintenance landscaping techniques that save both water and money, as well as tips for selecting plants that are drought- and freeze-tolerant. Attendees will also gain insights into smart water strategies that promote water efficiency and conservation, along with guidance on managing and maintaining sprinkler systems.
The event will feature a variety of vendors showcasing landscaping, water-efficient products, and drought-tolerant plants. Expert talks will cover a range of landscaping topics, including gardening advice from experienced Texas landscapers. There will also be door prizes and free food and drinks.
