Get ready to add some oompah to your weekend plans with live German music, food trucks, beverages, yard games and more at Arlington’s annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Oktoberfest 2025 is set from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at SJ Stovall Park, 2800 W. Sublett Road, in southwest Arlington. This family-friendly event is sponsored by Arlington Parks and Recreation and Sister Cities of Arlington, Texas. Planned activities include music by the German Band of North Texas, a Masskrugstemmen (Stein Holding Contest), and a Dachshund (Dog) Parade with a prize for the best dressed dog.
The City of Arlington is celebrating the 74th anniversary of its Sister City relationship with Bad Konigshofen, a small northern Bavarian town in Germany. Arlington’s relationship with its Sister City, a “Friendship Solid as a Rock,” started in 1951 and continues through this day.
Oktoberfest food truck menus are expected to include bratwurst, pizza, beer, desserts and more. While parking and entrance to the event is free, food trucks and other vendors will accept cash or card for purchases.
