Arlington Library Fall Book Sale Set for Sept. 24-27, 2024

The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library (FFAPL) will be holding its annual Fall Book Sale from Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Friday, Sept. 27, 2024.
FFAPL is a local nonprofit that works to bring together library lovers; promotes public awareness and community support and encourages gifts and fundraising to support the programs and services provided by the Arlington Public Library.
The Fall Book Sale fundraiser will not be held at the Meadowbrook Recreation Center this year. Instead, the event will be held at a new location, the First United Methodist Church at 313 N. Center St. in Downtown Arlington.
A wide collection of books, jigsaw puzzles, CDs, DVDs, and large print materials will be available. Most items are $1. Cash, checks, and credit cards with a $5 minimum will be accepted.
The 2024 book sale schedule:
Tuesday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – FFAPL member preview sale. Memberships available for purchase at the door.
Wednesday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. - open to the public
Thursday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. - open to the public
Friday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. - half price for all
Friday, Sept. 27, 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. - teacher and nonprofit sale ($5 suggested donation), all you can carry. ID required.
FFAPL will not accept book donations during the sale; however, a monetary donation may be made with the cashier.
Many of the Arlington Public Library’s programs and services have been possible due to the funding provided through FFAPL’s book sales and other events. FFAPL support also allows the Library to offer various programs for all ages throughout the year, such as early literacy, cultural programs, adult education, and maker programs. As a 501(c)3, FFAPL is also a conduit for various grants and corporate donations to help fund programming projects.
Without FFAPL's support, a large span of the programming currently offered would not be possible. Support FFAPL and the Arlington Public Library while you find great deals!
