Arlington's economic development initiatives are headed by the City's Office of Economic Development (OED) and the Arlington Economic Development Corporation (EDC). FY24 was a big year for economic development in Arlington, including the opening of the award-winning Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, several corporate headquarter relocations and the opening of Bell's Weapon Systems Integration lab, among others. The City also received numerous rankings and accolades, including No. 6 Best Sports Business City and No. 4 Top Metro for Entrepreneurial Success, to name a few.
