The Arlington City Council approved $77,660 in new Neighborhood Matching Grants for four projects across the city, including:
The Neighborhood Matching Grant program was developed in 2007 to foster civic pride, enhance neighborhoods and encourage collaboration between residents and City government. For a project to be considered, it must be submitted by neighbors, serve a public purpose, have a detailed timeline, and meet all City codes. Each neighborhood must also contribute 20% grant match towards the project through cash, in-kind donations and/or volunteer hours.
