Arlington Rebuilds Bowman Springs from I-20 to Enchanted Bay Blvd

The Public Works Department is pleased to announce that work to rebuild Bowman Springs from Interstate 20 to Enchanted Bay Boulevard is complete.

Construction for this project began in January 2023 and was completed in January 2024.

Funding for this project was approved by Arlington voters as part of the Street Improvements package in the 2014 Bond Election. This project aligns with the City Council’s priorities to Enhance Regional Mobility and Champion Great Neighborhoods and included the following improvements:

• Rebuilding a two-lane county type asphalt road to a three-lane concrete roadway
• Storm drainage infrastructure improvements
• Water and sanitary sewer infrastructure improvements
• Pedestrian pathways and streetlight improvements
• Installation of a roundabout at the Greenspring Road and Pleasant Ridge Road intersection
