Arlington to Improve Intersections at Bowen, SW, and SE Green Oaks

The Public Works Department is pleased to announce the construction of the Intersection Improvements project to enhance the intersections located at Bowen Road and Green Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue and Green Oaks Boulevard in your neighborhood is schedule to begin in June 2023.

This project, which is estimated to be completed by November 2023, includes the following improvements:

  • Dedicated right turn lanes for South Bowen Road and Southwest Green Oaks Boulevard going from westbound Green Oaks Boulevard to northbound Bowen Road and southbound Bowen to westbound Green Oaks.
  • Dedicated right turn lanes for New York Avenue and Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard going from westbound New York Avenue to northbound Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard.
  • New traffic signs, pavement markings and streetlights.
  • New sidewalks and ADA compliant ramps.

The Public Works Department will be holding a public meeting on Monday, May 22, 2023, to provide information on the 2021 Intersection Improvements project. This meeting will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Community Room at the Southwest Branch Library, located at 3311 SW Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, Texas 76017. There will be a short presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
