One of the Arlington City Council’s goals is to provide programs and services to directly support youth and their families, enabling them to reach their highest potential in life in The American Dream City.
A successful community requires a variety of support systems and an environment that enables our residents to flourish and grow. That includes the Arlington Public Library which is celebrating its 100th year anniversary of serving the Arlington community.
On March 23, 1923, the first library opened in Arlington for the city’s 3,700 residents. From a collection of 500 books in the Farmer’s National Bank to 550,000 items and seven locations, APL has grown with the city and now serves 1.5 million people annually. Read more about Arlington Public Library's 100th celebration and other great programs available in Arlington in the latest quarterly edition of the Support Youth and Families newsletter. All quarterly City Council priority newsletters are produced in a digital formal, allowing for layers of additional video content and important links.
