April 2023 Student-Athlete of the Month: Gavyn Smith

Gavyn Smith, a senior on Arlington High School’s baseball team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2023.

Smith plays all over the diamond, catcher, first base, third base and outfield. He’s helped lead the Colts to the top of the district standings. 

“He’s a leader for us,” said Brian Womack, Arlington Head Baseball Coach, “vocally on the field and also just how he goes about his business.”

Smith, whose favorite subjects are Science and Math, plans to play baseball at the next level.
