Arlington’s Street Tracker webpage, available since 2015, provides transparency and up-to-date information on both current and proposed street maintenance and construction projects throughout the 99-square-mile city.
The webpage features a project list with upcoming bid opportunities, information on street closures, an explainer how the City decides which streets to repair and which to rebuild, and a news feed featuring the latest information on street and sidewalk construction and maintenance.
The site also contains two interactive maps. The Street Tracker map allows users to type in an address or click on a highlighted section of street and learn more about the type of construction activity underway, such as water main installation, sanitary sewer renewal or sidewalk replacement. The Street Condition Map allows users to type in an address or click on a section of roadway to see its currently Overall Condition index and whether it is rated red, yellow or green based on its score.
Residents can also download the Ask Arlington app or call the Action Center at 817-459-6777 to report concerns.
