Arlington Fire Department Assists with Free Smoke Alarm Installation

If you cannot afford to purchase smoke alarms or are physically unable to install one, the Red Cross may be able to help. Arlington residents who meet eligibility requirements can sign up for free smoke alarm installation from the Red Cross of North Texas and the Arlington Fire Department.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must live in a residence that is not managed by a landlord or apartment management company. (No apartment complexes)
  • Mobile homes and RVs must be located in a park with a leased space for six months or longer.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • No income restrictions - all are welcome to apply.
