The Kindness Project: A Month-Long Celebration of Kindness
Published on March 17, 2022
By Arlington Public Library
Welcome to The Kindness Project. The Arlington Public Library invites you to care for yourself and your community by joining us in a month-long celebration of kindness. The Kindness Project will take place across all Arlington Public Library locations and will run from Saturday, March 26, 2022, through Saturday, April 30, 2022. Programs range from yoga, sound baths, and mediations to wellness fairs, blood drives, and much more. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire Arlington residents to be kind in a variety of ways. “Kindness can be expressed in a variety of ways,”
Program Specialist Tamera Miller said. “Kindness to yourself means taking care of your body and soul. It can also mean helping, volunteering, and being active in your community. Kindness to the environment can mean recycling, sustainable habits.”
We will also give participants a Kindness Kit that includes a copy of Channel Kindness: Stories of Kindness and Community by The Born This Way Foundation Reporters and Lady Gaga. This book is a compilation of projects initiated by people inspired to make a difference in their community. Supplies are limited. Visit any library location to learn more about this initiative and how to participate.
