City of Arlington to Host Job Fair April 7 at Downtown Library

Are you looking to start a rewarding new career in The American Dream City? The City of Arlington will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St.

Numerous City Departments, including Esports, Public Works, Water Utilities, Information Technology, Parks & Recreation and the Arlington Police Department, are participating in the job fair. Some departments will hold on-site interviews and will be prepared to extend an offer. Participants are encouraged to pre-apply online.

Learn about Proposed Changes to City’s Residential Infill and Redevelopment Standards This Thursday

The City of Arlington is inviting the public to weigh in on proposed Residential Infill and Redevelopment Standards that are designed to create more diverse and attainable housing across The American Dream City.

A come-and-go Open House where residents and the development community can learn more about these proposed standards and provide feedback is scheduled on Thursday, March 10 in the City Council Chamber, located at Arlington City Hall at 101 W. Abram St. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

The weather is warming up and Arlington Parks & Recreation is springing into fun with lots of great events! Activities include a Summer Camp Hiring Fair this Saturday, a Tents & Tales Campout and the 20th annual Daddy Daughter Dance.
