New STEM Curriculum for 4-Year-Olds Coming to Arlington ISD

Arlington ISD is going “Full STEM Ahead!” this fall for four-year-olds in pre-K classrooms. Even better, the program will be free for parents that live in Arlington school district boundaries. The innovative new STEM curriculum will give students an introduction to lessons involving science, technology, engineering and math, which is a game changer. Art, music and movement will also be integrated into every classroom throughout the year for students to receive a powerful whole-child education.

Want to find out more? You can visit aisd.net/prek for all the latest information on the Arlington ISD pre-K program. Registration begins April 1.

What to Know: Arlington’s Outdoor Warning Siren System

The City of Arlington’s Outdoor Warning Siren System is activated by Arlington Fire Department’s Office of Emergency Management personnel in coordination with the National Weather Service Fort Worth Office and other official sources. The Outdoor Warning Siren System is not an automated system and much consideration goes into when the City’s more than 50 sirens are activated.

Arlington’s Outdoor Warning Siren monthly test is conducted at 1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, barring inclement weather. The University of Texas at Arlington tests its Outdoor Warning Sirens at 12:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month.
