The Arlington Police Department is in the early stages of creating a Seven-Year Strategic Plan that will help guide future priorities and initiatives for the organization.
To ensure this process includes input from community members, the department will host two public town hall meetings where residents will be able to share their thoughts with APD Command Staff.
Those who wish to participate can attend the meetings in-person or virtually via Zoom. Virtual participants will be able to submit real-time questions and comments in writing.
Meeting 1
April 4, 2022
6:30pm - 7:30pm
City Council Chambers
101 W Abram Street
The department encourages residents in our North and East Districts to attend this meeting.
Meeting 2
April 6, 2022
6:30pm -7:30pm
South Station Community Room
1030 SW Green Oaks Blvd
The department encourages residents in our South and West Districts to attend this meeting.
Meeting topics include community partnerships, technology, relational policing, resource allocation, and diversity within the department, among others.
APD Command Staff will review the input they receive at the meetings ahead of a mid-April retreat where they’ll begin to draft the Strategic Plan.
