Join the Arlington Public Library in our mission to read one million minutes this summer! This a great way to keep children’s reading skills strong over summer break, make progress on your to-be-read list or just to have fun. We encourage all ages to participate. This year we’re using Beanstack, so tracking your reading is easier than ever.

Create a Beanstack account for yourself or your family, and you’re instantly connected to the Arlington Public library’s reading program. Beanstack keeps track of every minute and every page. Getting started is simple. Download Beanstack on your mobile device, search for Arlington Public Library, and join our Discover Summer challenge. When you create your account, select your favorite branch, and start tracking your reading. The branch that reads the most wins the title of Most Minutes Read!

Participants can also win prizes throughout the summer. When you track what you read, you win tickets to enter drawings. The more you, read the more chances you have to win. Reading books, articles, and audiobooks all count to toward your progress. Storytimes at home or with the library also count! Our goal is to reach one million minutes by July 31.
