January 2022 Student-Athlete of the Month: Amari Woods

Amari Woods, a senior on Bowie High School’s basketball team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for January 2022.

Woods is a point guard for the Volunteers' basketball team and a three-year letterman

“Amari is small in stature but does carry a big voice,” said Bowie Head Basketball Coach Allen Gratts. “Whenever he says anything to his teammates, they’re going to listen.”

Woods, whose favorite subject is math, plans on majoring in business and marketing to become an accountant.
