On the next great adventure of Explore Arlington, Mayor Jim Ross teams up with radio personality Rocky “Rock-T” Turner and Arlington ISD students to learn how to compete in Stomp Wars.
“If you haven’t been familiar with Stomp Wars, we are approaching the 15th anniversary,” Ross said. “It’ll be April 8-9, 2022 at College Park Center on the campus of The University of Texas at Arlington.”
The mission of Stomp Wars Global is to inspire youth and young adults to stomp down the negative barriers that plague our communities and build a new, positive future through the art of step. Stomp Wars was created when the founders witnessed the power stepping has over these kids and how beneficial it can be in their lives. Stepping has grown to become a college and career pathway for students through an extracurricular activity. Some students come from low-income backgrounds and face multiple barriers in life. Stomp Wars Global aims to give them hope.
Explore Arlington take viewers on a journey across multiple small businesses, tourism destinations, outdoor activities and many other venues and topics highlighting all the fun things happening in The American Dream City.
