Preparedness in the Park

Join Arlington emergency officials for an educational fair and free screening of the movie Twisters in recognition of National Preparedness Month. Mark your calendars! 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 18, 2025, at Levitt Pavilion Arlington, 100 W. Abram St. in Downtown.

Participants can learn how to be Weather Ready by exploring educational booths with tips on:

Building a 72-hour emergency kit
Making a family emergency plan
Signing up for wireless alerts
Outdoor warning sirens explained
Why NOAA weather radios matter

Giveaway! Get a NOAA weather radio (one per household) when you visit preparedness booths, while supplies last.

Movie Screening: Twisters (PG-13) plays at 7:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.
