Preparedness in the Park

Arlington residents are invited to join local emergency officials for an educational fair in recognition of National Preparedness Month.

The free event will help residents learn how to be Weather Ready and better prepared for emergencies. Educational booths will offer practical information on:

• Building a 72-hour emergency kit
• Creating a family emergency plan
• Signing up for wireless emergency alerts
• Understanding Arlington’s outdoor warning sirens

Giveaway

The first 25 guests who visit every educational booth and complete their bingo card will receive a free 72-hour emergency kit, while supplies last. Limit one kit per household.

Free parking is available throughout Downtown, including the 101 Center Parking Garage, public parking along Front Street and public parking on the west side of City Hall. 

Activities

Free children's activities will include lawn games and a coloring station.

Need a snack?

Food trucks will be on-site with food available for purchase from Holi Frijole (Breakfast Tacos) and Tom’s Traveling Coffee.
