This project focuses on the reconstruction of Mitchell Street from Collins Street to Sunnyvale Drive as a 2-lane minor collector with sidewalks, water, sewer, storm drainage improvements, streetlights, and fiber communication conduits. This project is funded through Arlington's 2018 Bond Election, with additional support from Community Development Block Grants.
Driveway access will be available during most of the project. If the contractor must close or remove your driveway, you will be given 48-72 hour notice.
Yes. Your neighborhood's regularly scheduled trash and recycling pickup days will continue as normal during construction.
Yes. Your mail and packages will be delivered as normal.
The contractor will always provide as much access to your street as possible. However, at times it may be necessary to temporarily close a portion of the street during the day. Though access may be limited, if emergencies arise, the contractor will work with you to the best of their abilities to grant you access to your driveway.
Yes. You will continue to have water service during construction. If there is a planned water shut-off, you will be notified at least 48 hours before the shut off. If there is an emergency shut off, water services may need to be temporarily shut off for a few hours.
