Lana Wolff Linear Park is a 12-acre park located along the west side of Collins Street and bordered to the north by East Second Street, the south by East Mitchell Street and the west by the Arlington and Parkdale Cemeteries. Johnson Creek runs through the eastern portion of the park, while the trail will follow the clearing along the western edge. The trail will be 12’ wide and approximately .25 miles in length, connecting to the existing trail in Julia Burgen Linear Park along East Mitchell Street and running north to the intersection of East Second Street and Collins Street.

Project Updates

Consultant design services with Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) began in May 2023 and are projected to be complete by Fall 2025.

The following milestones have been completed:

  • FNI has completed design documents to a 50% progress set. This was submitted to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE) for their review to obtain approval of constructing the trail through the Johnson Creek Corridor, a previously Federally funded Ecosystem Restoration project. Anticipated approval is Fall 2025.

Upcoming milestones:

  • Upon approval of the 50% design documents by the USACOE (schedule unknown), FNI will complete the construction documents to 100% completion in preparation for bidding for construction.
